- The Greater Hartford Transit District (The 201Cdistrict 201D) Is A Quasi-Municipal Corporation Operating Under The Authority Of Chapter 103A Of Theconnecticut General Statutes. There Are Currently Sixteen-Member Towns Represented By Appointees Who Collectively Form The Board Of Directors, The Policy Making Body Of The District. The District Has Broad Powers To Acquire, Operate, Finance, Plan, Develop, Maintain And Otherwise Provide All Forms Of Land Transportation And Related Services Including The Development Or Renewal Of Transportation Centers And Parking Facilities. The District Is The Owner And Operator Of Hartford'sunion Station Transportation Center Complex. The District Is Soliciting Proposals Through This Request For Proposals (\"Rfp\") From A Qualified Consulting Services Firm Or Firms Interested And Capable Of Entering Into A Contract With The District For The Creation Of A Comprehensive Signage And Wayfinding Plan Along With A Guide To Serve As A Blueprint For Future Signage.
